The London District Surveyors Association is delighted to announce that it has now joined the Green Register. The Green Register is a comprehensive guide to organisations that includes architects, designers, developers, contractors and local authorities able to promote and assist in the design of sustainable buildings.
Andy Hardy, President of the London District Surveyors Association said “Building Control has a key part to play in ensuring that compliance with the Building Regulations is achieved and together we can deliver the targets set by Government in reducing Co2 levels and lessening the impact on climate change. The Association is working through its Sustainability Committee to not only raise awareness and develop guidance, but to assist in the development of the regulations that will ensure buildings become more and more sustainable.
The Green Register raises awareness of issues surrounding sustainable construction and is able to offer training and support for organisations, a key reason why the Association has joined the Register.
The Vice President of the Association, Adrian Cole, said “this is a great opportunity for members of the Association to gain access to expertise on sustainability issues and help to bring about cultural change in their authorities”.
