What are the Building Control Charges?   

Since 1st April 1999 Building Control charges are set by each Local Authority.

There may be a set charge i.e. for newly erected dwellings or work such as extensions; the charge may be based on the cost of work i.e. for general building work, or the charge may be based on floor area.
