I was admitted into the Association in 1995 on my appointment as Building Control Manager for the London Borough of Merton.  I have worked in Building Control at Merton since 1974 having previously worked for the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames.

From 1999, I have chaired the Association’s Public Safety and Safety of Sports Grounds Committee, which is also a national DSA Committee.

In 2000, I was appointed part time visiting lecturer to the University of Westminster lecturing on their Advanced Building Control course and am a member of the Association’s Career Development and Training Committee.

In 2002, I was elected Assistant Honorary Secretary of the Association.  In 2005 I was elected Honorary Secretary of the Association.
